Operating a global supply chain in a fast-growing business like PLA has never been about standing still. Over the past years, our focus has been on building resilience while preparing for what’s next.
We continue to strengthen our Integrated Business Planning process, creating closer alignment between demand, supply, and financial performance. At the same time, we have expanded our global footprint with warehouses in Thailand, China, the Netherlands, and the United States – enabling us to stay close to our markets and support growth with speed, flexibility, and reliability.
Sustainability is not a side topic—it’s embedded in how we operate. The onboarding of EV trucking is a concrete step forward in reducing our carbon footprint. Alongside this, we continuously optimize payloads and have introduced big bag packaging with 30% PIR content, contributing to our broader sustainability ambitions.
Equally important is how we collaborate. Strong partnerships with key suppliers and logistics providers around the world are essential to making complex global networks work. At the core of this is one objective: delivering reliability to our valued customers.
We are also investing in how we operate. From AI-enabled tools such as advanced freight tracking, to developing more efficient logistics concepts like direct loading and bulk flows, we are building a smarter, more agile supply chain. At the same time, a robust Power BI reporting structure allows us to steer performance and cost with greater precision.
All of this takes place in a dynamic environment shaped by rapid growth and ongoing geopolitical uncertainty. But ultimately, it comes down to people. Developing our teams and growing talent remains at the heart of building a supply chain that is truly fit for the future.
I’m genuinely proud of what we are building together at PLA. This progress is not driven by one function alone, but by strong collaboration across teams, partners, and colleagues throughout the company. It’s a shared effort—and that’s what makes it meaningful.
